Dosing guide by weight
2–4.5 kg — Tiny (112.5 mg) — 3 months protection
4.5–10 kg — Small (250 mg) — 3 months protection
10–20 kg — Medium (500 mg) — 3 months protection
20–40 kg — Large (1000 mg) — 3 months protection
40–56 kg — Extra Large (1400 mg) — 3 months protection
For dogs over 56 kg, use the appropriate combination of tablets. Give at or around mealtime.
Does Bravecto Chewable cover worms?
No. Bravecto Chewable treats fleas, ticks, and mites only. It does not cover intestinal worms (roundworm, hookworm, tapeworm) or heartworm. If your dog needs worm coverage, use a separate allwormer such as Drontal or Endogard alongside Bravecto.
How quickly does Bravecto start working?
Bravecto starts killing fleas within 2 hours of administration and ticks within 12 hours. Most dogs show a significant reduction in flea activity within the first 24 hours.
Can my dog swim after taking Bravecto Chewable?
Yes. Because it's an oral treatment that works through the bloodstream, swimming, bathing, and rain have no impact on effectiveness at any time during the 3-month protection period.

My dog has a food allergy — is Bravecto Chewable safe?
Bravecto Chewable is flavoured with hydrolysed pork protein. If your dog has a known pork or protein allergy, check with your vet before use. Bravecto Spot-On may be a better option as it contains no food flavouring.
From what age can puppies take Bravecto Chewable?
From 8 weeks of age, provided they weigh at least 2 kg.
What ticks does Bravecto protect against in NZ?
In New Zealand, Bravecto is registered for the treatment and control of cattle ticks (Haemaphysalis longicornis), the primary tick species of concern for dogs, particularly in northern and coastal regions.
