How to Apply Nexgard Spectra for Cats
Dosage
Use one NexGard Spot-On solution tube based on your cat’s weight. Always refer to the product packaging or consult your veterinarian for the appropriate dosage size.
Application
NexGard Spectra for Cats is a once-a-month treatment applied to the back of your cat’s neck, between the shoulder blades. This location prevents your cat from licking the product during grooming.
- Open the single-use tube.
- Part the fur at the base of your cat’s neck.
- Apply the contents directly onto the skin.
- Do not bathe or shampoo your cat for 2–3 days post-application.
Always follow the instructions provided in the pack or consult your veterinarian for application tips if your cat is difficult to medicate.
Active Ingredients
Afoxolaner: 2.5%: Afoxolaner is an insecticide and acaricide that effectively kills fleas and ticks by over-stimulating their nervous systems, leading to paralysis and death.
Other Ingredients:
Butyl Hydroxyanisole (BHA): A stabilizer used to preserve the effectiveness of the active ingredients.
